Project Overview: This project focused on the installation, configuration, and commissioning of protection relays for a 33kV switchgear, ensuring the safety and reliability of the electrical system. The work also involved testing critical components and configuring protection schemes for essential loads. Key Achievements: Protection Relay Installation: Installed and configured protection relays for the 33kV switchgear, ensuring effective system safeguarding against faults. Component Testing: Conducted thorough testing of current transformers (CTs), voltage transformers (VTs), and relay trip settings to ensure accurate protection response. Critical Load Protection: Commissioned protection schemes for critical loads such as motors and compressors, ensuring their safety in the event of faults. Project Outcome: Achieved uninterrupted operations and ensured full compliance with industry standards, guaranteeing system reliability and safety.
Project Overview: This project involved multiple tasks including the detection of cable lines, excavation, and transformer relocation, ensuring proper installation and safety for all related electrical infrastructure. Key Achievements: Cable Line Detection: Performed a thorough cable line detection to ensure accurate identification of existing lines for safe excavation. Excavation for Cable Trench: Conducted hand excavation for a cable trench (50cm x 80cm) over a length of 220 meters. Sand Bedding and Cable Tile Installation: Supplied and installed 21 m³ of sand bedding, 440 concrete cable tiles, and 220 meters of warning tape. Completed route compaction for stability. Concrete Cover Removal: Removed 200 concrete covers (40cm x 60cm) from the existing cable trench using manual labor. Road Crossing Excavation: Conducted excavation for road crossing using Hydro vac for a 10-meter stretch. LRC Panel Installation: Installed a LRC panel inside the control room, including fabrication of a steel frame and a chequered plate to cover the panel. Transformer Installation: Transported and installed the step-up transformer on a concrete foundation (installation of foundation excluded as per MOC). Emergency Shutdown Installation: Installed an emergency shutdown system near the step-up transformer for enhanced safety. Transformer Dismantling and Relocation: Dismantled 3 existing transformers from the desalter top and shifted them to the BOC warehouse. Power Unit Transport and Installation: Transported the new power unit and installed it in the location where the transformers were dismantled. Cable Removal and Transportation: Removed and transported the existing cables from the dismantled transformers to the BOC warehouse. Cable Tray Installation: Supplied and installed 30 meters of 10cm x 30cm cable trays for the new power unit and 35 meters of 5cm x 15cm cable trays around the power unit.
